Runaway Trains

One of my favorite author bloggers is Sheila Viehl, author of, amongst many others, the StarDoc series.  She was one of the many people I had the privilege of meeting during the short time I was an active member of Forward Motion.

I’ve no idea if she still frequents that community however I do know that her blog is always interesting, insightful, and often full of interesting writing tips.  She recently posted a two-part series about ideas and where they can take you that is well worth a read.

Speaking of well worth a read, if you like intelligent space opera, StarDoc is well worth a look at.  I’ve read most of the series (haven’t gotten to the last few books yet) and Sheila has just wrapped up the series itself with the release of the latest book, so now is a good time to work your way through to a final conclusion.

As always, please leave any comments below.  What was your favourite runaway train idea?
